How does Stylar work?

Stylar is a browser extension that lets anyone try anything on. We use a combination of AI and Computer Vision technology to generate what a fashion item will look like on you.

After downloading our extension, you will see a little “Try On” button appear when hovering over certain product images while visiting fashion sites. All you need to do is click the Try On button and Stylar will take care of the rest!

Important Disclaimer: AI is not perfect 100% of the time! There will be goofy mistakes sometimes, including accidentally changing your body shape or skin color. Rest assured, we are constantly looking to improve the try on experience as AI becomes better and more accessible. The best thing you can do to improve results for now is to make sure your Try On Photo follows our best practices!

How long does it take to set up?

Setting up takes 2 minutes! Simply add our extension to Chrome in 1 click here and start shopping on all your favorite brands as you would normally.

What about size and fit?

Stylar currently does not take item sizing into account when rendering your try-on image. We do our best to provide an accurate representation of what the item will look like on you based on the product and user image provided.

Help! I’m on a fashion site and I don’t see anything.

Stylar will automatically activate on about 20,000+ of the world’s most visited fashion sites. If you don’t see anything, you can activate Stylar manually on any site by simply pressing the Stylar logo button within your Chrome Extensions bookmarks bar, as pictured below. If you don’t see the Stylar logo, click on the little Extension “puzzle” icon and pin the Stylar extension.

What happens to my photo? How does Stylar keep my data private?

At Stylar, we treat your personal data like we’d want ours to be treated. Stylar never sells or shares your data with any third parties. Your photo is only being used during your personal use of Stylar’s try on service.

Additionally, you may request to delete your account and all personal information by emailing support@stylar.com and we will delete all your data from our servers.

What are best practices for uploading a try-on photo?

For best results, make sure you’re using a full-body photo with good, even lighting. You want to be facing the camera front on and in a neutral pose. Here are some additional tips below:

Do not upload selfies or close-up photos

Avoid thick outer layers and loose clothing

Please wear form-fitting clothes.

Do not upload group photos with multiple people

Avoid complex poses and sitting down

How do you make money?
